Pray for the Holy Spirit to fill us so others may know Jesus. On the day of Pentecost, the Holy Spirit was poured out on Jesus’ disciples. Throughout life, we need fresh infillings of God’s Holy Spirit. Pray specifically for the Holy Spirit to fill you anew. Pray for our pastors and leaders to experience the presence of the Holy Spirit and to be empowered for the ministry that is placed before them. Pray that the Spirit will be poured out on our churches in ways we have never experienced. Pray that we may be empowered for service in the kingdom of God with wisdom and insight. Pray that the Holy Spirit will empower you to become more and more like Jesus Christ. ... See MoreSee Less

Pray for those who do not know Jesus as their Savior. The pandemic has increased depression and hopelessness around the world. Jesus is the hope of the world. He is “the way, the truth, and the life.” Pray for those who do not know Christ, that they may come to know Him and that He will meet their deepest needs. Make a list of all your loved ones who do not know Christ and pray for them by name. List the names of your neighbors, those whom you meet at work, at the store, and other places and pray that they may come to know Christ. Make a commitment to do this on a regular basis. ... Timeline PhotosGod’s people may not always have the same perspective, but they are united as Kingdom citizens. All of God’s children around the globe are invited to pray for those who find their citizenship in heaven, that we will be united in Christ. Carol Cymbala expressed this well in her song, “Make us one, Lord, make us one; Holy Spirit, make us one. Let your love flow so the world will know we are one in you.” The wounds, even among brothers and sisters in Christ, are deep and need healing. Pray that God will help us to be a healing balm to the nations and to one another. ... See MoreSee Less

Pray for those suffering as a result of the global pandemicAs a global church family, nearly everyone has been touched by COVID-19. Pray for those who are grieving the loss of friends and family members who have died as a result of this pandemic. Pray for those who are recovering, that they may come to a place of complete healing. We also pray for those who are currently ill and are struggling to fight off this disease. We pray for God’s strength and power to heal their bodies. Pray for frontline workers who are growing increasingly tired and weary, that they may find rest and renewed energy to press on. Together, we pray that this virus will be stopped and the pandemic will come to an end. We know that the economic impact of this virus has hurt many around the world. We pray for those who need daily bread, money to pay rent, and simply want to go to work. Stir our hearts to be generous, helping those who have less than we do. Ask God to open your eyes for opportunities to help those who are struggling more than you are. ... See MoreSee Less

Please join us in prayer and fasting for the persecuted church. Spread the word by liking and sharing this prayer. In the time of COVID-19, the persecuted church has slipped from many of the headlines. This does not mean that there has been a change in persecution. We need to join in prayer for our brothers and sisters in Christ who are facing challenges because of their faith in Jesus Christ. Pray for wisdom and courage in the face of those who seek to harm them. Pray for God’s protection over them as they seek to faithfully serve Jesus in difficult areas. We have missionaries who have continued to serve throughout this pandemic and who have faced unique difficulties and some very stringent quarantines. Pray for God’s grace and strength for each day and that new doors of opportunity will be opened for their ministry. ... See MoreSee Less

Timeline PhotosGod’s people are to serve as peacemakers in the world. Jesus said, “By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you have love for one another” (John 13:34). We need to pray for peace in the church. God’s people need to pray for any division within the church community to be healed. Then, the church must pray for peace in the world. Many nations of this world are facing challenges, and God’s people need to serve as instruments of peace. Our prayers must include actions, therefore, we should pray for our eyes to be opened to opportunities to show Christ’s love to others. Specifically, ask God to help you to show love to someone this week that may not necessarily love or like you.
