The Journey is a global Nazarene Youth International worship event streamed live on YouTube at three separate times the weekend of August 13 & 14. The Grand Junction Nazarene youth group is hosting this event at 11 a.m. Saturday, August 14 in our youth room.
No matter where we are in our walk with the Lord, we are all on a journey – a journey where we experience God’s grace seeking us, saving us, and sanctifying us. In John 14:6, Jesus states, “I am the way and the truth and the life. No one comes to the Father except through me.”
As NYI, we hope to encourage our youth to discover the ways God has been faithful in their own lives and invite others on this journey of grace found in and through Christ. Furthermore, we never have to journey alone. Though we all come from different cultures, backgrounds, and upbringings, we’re all on the same journey to help each other be more Christlike.
Mission: The Church of the Nazarene believes that young people are an integral part of the Church. Nazarene Youth International exists to lead young people into a lifelong relationship with Jesus Christ and to facilitate their growth as disciples for Christian service.
Our mission is to love God and to love one another in Christ Jesus. We seek to become more like Christ. We believe the youth have a voice and can impact lives for Christ today.
“Don’t let anyone look down on you because you are young, but set an example for the believers in speech, in conduct, in love, in faith and in purity.” – 1 Timothy 4:12
